I’m excited to share a handful of women I look up to. Each of these ladies inspires me in their own unique way, casts a shimmering light into my creativity and sets the bar high for the content I create. It’s important to hold these mentors, inspirations, role models up on a pedestal in your mind. Keep them up there to remind you the person you want to be, the work you want to produce, and the quality of life you want to lead. So without further ado, here’s why I love them.
Her humor, smarts, wit and entrepreneur spirit. She really doesn’t give AF, completely embraces her weird. Her attitude has catapulted her site, Man Repeller, to be one of the world’s most coveted online destinations. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t make me laugh on her Instagram or blog.
Her aesthetic, photography, accent and career path. I could scroll through her Instagram and read her travel stories on her blog for hours. Lucy has been an inspiration of mine for years now. I’ve actually mentioned her in the past on my blog a few times, but still to this day is someone I look up to and think is adorable and super talented. Social media for J Crew, an avid traveler, and epic style – are just a few things that most people love about her.
Her badass demeanor, work ethic and story. Sophia became a favorite of mine after listening to this interview a few years back. As the creator of Nasty Gal, her story leading up to the creation of one of the hottest online fashion destinations is surprising, humble, hilarious, and it’s truly amazing to continue to see what she created from what started as an eBay shop, to now.
Her interior design eye, coffee table books, and love for living in style. As soon as I opened Island Style, her work completely spoke to me. The relaxed, laid-back, neutral-rich, palm-obsessed vibes had me at hello. I am actually going to be meeting India tonight at an event, and I cannot wait!
Her empire of a brand, her style and grace, and her role-model impact on women. Do you follow her on Instagram? Her life just looks exquisite. An amazingly accomplished career, beautiful eye for design, a lovely family, and an elegance that reflects everything she touches.
Her creativity, ability to take her work one step further, her charm and her style. Okay, first of all, if you don’t follow her on snapchat (@ damselindior), you have to – she’s my favorite person to follow. I have always loved her style, her quirk, and her work. It’s crazy how much her hilarious BTS lifestyle on snapchat made that admiration amplify so much more – she’s just real. Jacey has really stood out in my mind in the blog world – I think she does a fantastic job of staying true to herself, and doing what she loves to do. Watch this video too… so good.
