Awhile back I got the Le Labo Discovery Kit as I’d heard such amazing things about the brand. I spent a day sifting through each scent, trying to find which suited me best, and when it came down to ordering a bottle, I ended up going with one that everyone raved about. I panicked! Just too many to pick from–the struggle is real. Santal 33 arrived and although I do love it… I realized it just wasn’t “me”. Reason. No 3738978 not to go with the trendy option, your gut is always right.
Perfume is so personal, it has to speak to you! I’ve grown to be so picky on what I wear and when I wear each perfume I own, so taking the time to test it out and see how it translates with your skin, body oils, etc. is necessary. I knew that I should have gone with my initial instinct (Neroli 36!), so I made my way back to Le Labo this week.
Ah, it’s so good! Sweet, but musky just the way I like it, and a freshness to it that has me craving spring evenings. It was so fun visiting the shop in person, too – which I highly recommend you do if you are thinking about adding Le Labo to your collection in the future! The most delicious scent wafting through the air that leers you in is just the beginning. A moody atmosphere, testers galore, and being able to see the scent handmade was so fun and unique, too. Rachel customized my bottle to say Brunch on Chestnut, so I will be keeping this bottle forever. Love that touch! I snapped a few shots from the Pacific Heights location in San Francisco, such a beauty…
