If there’s one person who is doing it all right, it’s Lauren Wells. A girl-on-the-go who is always leaving her readers feeling inspired (and ready to purchase flights on Virgin America dot com) with her dreamy travel itineraries and golden locks captured so perfectly around the globe. Lauren’s way of storytelling through her imagery and unique style and aesthetic sets her apart from the rest. I’m always doing a second take while scrolling through my feed, her content is always so captivating and oh, so Lauren Wells.
Although she spends much of the year on planes leading her to exotic, fun, and just plain beautiful places– she calls Boston Home and shared with me a few of her favorite local haunts! Here’s a little bit more about Lauren…

What does a typical day look like for you?
This is a tricky question! While I am traveling or on assignment, every day is wildly unique. The only constant may be starting my morning with coffee, as that will never change! When I am home, I try to be a bit better about routine, but I am always playing catch up from the previous trip or preparing for the next, so routine kind of goes out the window. As soon as I am up, I like to hunker down with breakfast in my PJs, answering any emails left over from the night before, and organizing my to-do list for that day. I always get dressed shortly thereafter (so important when you work from home, and by yourself)!, and will head out around lunchtime somewhere in town, to grab food or run errands. I adore walking, and I love any excuse to do so. Hot yoga is another favorite if I can fit it in. Most of my day/evening is spent in front of the computer, jumping from one project to another. Whether that is editing photos, handling finances, shooting content, planning content, connecting with brands, attending meetings or getting sidetracked by a potential new project, I always have a chunk of each day dedicated to travel planning for the next adventure. (That is usually where the sidetracked piece comes in, haha)! My husband typically gets home from his office in the early evening, and we will have dinner, play some Scrabble, maybe watch an episode of Billions. Often, I am then back at my desk for a while, before hopping into bed with a book.
Lightbulb moment that navigated you to where you are now…
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a lightbulb moment.. maybe more of a fading light bulb that was flickering for a while until it finally burned out – ha! Just kidding, I am truly grateful for every moment I spent in the corporate world, as I know the skills and lessons I learned there have been invaluable, and have really propelled my business forward in more ways than one. I honestly love working, and I love being busy, but I wanted to feel passionate about what I was doing, and inspired by those around me – and quite truthfully, I wanted more freedom than 10 vacation days per year allowed. In terms of how I got to where I am now, that has really been an organic and constant evolution since day one. I have tried to say yes to most opportunities, and somehow they have led me here.
3 people who inspire you…
Matty. He is my best friend and the light of my life. We have been together for 10 years (since meeting in college), and I am so thankful that we met when we did, and we’ve been able to grow together, sharing everything we have. He inspires me in huge ways, and in tiny ones.
My parents. (Can they count as one)? Seems like the obvious answer, but they both are so incredible in each of their own ways. They have also been married for close to 40 years, and their relationship has always been a source of inspiration.
Morgane Sezalory. She is a beautiful and successful woman, she created one of my most favorite brands, she has the most perfect Parisian apartment, and she is French. Need I say more?
Words to live by…
Let me keep my distance, always, from those who think they have the answers. Let me keep company always with those who say “Look!” and laugh in astonishment, and bow their heads. –Mary Oliver
