Spring fever in full force! I’ve already done some damage, I couldn’t resist with my little fake summer tease this past weekend. I decided to take some time and curate 5 of my staple/necessities for my wardrobe over the warmer months (semi warm, SF), and share why I love them below:
Peplum — I love peplum at the moment but it has to be the perfect shape and structure (tops/dresses). I don’t love the super flared look, or the tight and flared look when it comes to this style, or even when theres more flare than body — the peplum should be subtle! An effortless, loose fabric that gives a little girly flare is when I rock this trend.
Leather Jacket — a necessity of mine for all season, but I’m especially obsessed with my new jackets that I bought in two colors – nude & black. I definitely veer more towards the dainty feminine version over the moto look for spring/summer – It’s so easy to wear layers in colder climates, and then paired with a little summer dress when it’s warm.Distressed Denim — can’t get enough! But, similar to my peplum theory… they need to be the perfect pair. Your jeans should be effortlessly distressed, in the right areas, as well as a flattering fit.
Neutral Shoes — my life is a neutral storyboard, and I believe that most of your shoes should be neutral, classic, and versatile. I love a good statement shoe every once in awhile, but owning an abundance of neutrals allows so many more outfits!
Leather Handbag — classic, structured handbags are timeless and necessary year round. I aways keep an eye open for brands like Zara, who offer quality bags that are affordable but look super expensive. Secrets out.
