I have always put stockings on the back burner for some reason. This year, I decided I wanted to put more thought into those small but sweet gifts and add my own personal touch, so I teamed up with my friends at World Market to share with you some ideas. I have to say, I found a new appreciation for curating a stocking. It doesn’t have to be a random assortment of things that may end up living in a junk drawer (guilty of this), think sweet, but practical gifts.
I realized in putting this together, it’s the one time where I don’t have to go off of a list (our family just emails each other 3-4 things we love, and that’s pretty much what we end up opening on Christmas morning), allowing me to get a little bit more creative. Have fun with it!
I also really love the idea of telling a story through the items you decide to add. This one, for instance, would be perfect for a designer, all of the branding and details are on point. Another idea could be to do an entire theme! If your friend loves to bake, create a stocking with all of the tools, ingredients, and kitchen linens she may need to bake cookies.
World Market actually has an entire Stocking Stuffer guide for everyone on your list. So helpful! A few ideas I personally love: a candle, a mini tray (great for bedside table to lay rings at night), wine stopper, some sort of chocolate or sweet, a picture frame, a soap + dish for a bathroom sink, a keychain, a mini bottle of champagne, a new kitchen towel…. so many easy but thoughtful ways to stuff that stocking.
Also! Maybe not as a stocking stuffer, but I noticed they had these adorable holiday 6 pack holders where you can build your own assortment of mini champagne/wine bottles or a few things from their craft beer selection. SO cute…
How do you go about stuffing a stocking? I would love to know!
