Why I love it here.
All the wine. There’s nothing better than rounding up a group of good friends or taking a romantic day trip to soak up the sun, indulge in delicious meals, and sip some of the best wines in the world.
What to pack…
Same as my Sonoma Travel Guide.
Where to wine taste.
Our favorite wineries in Napa are Peju (Matt’s absolute favorite wine), Duckhorn (my favorite wine tasting setting and experience), Alpha Omega (can’t beat this property), Rombauer (St. Helena), Stags Leap, The Terraces, CADE, Odette Estates, and William Hill – all excellent options. If you’re staying in Yountville, Hope & Grace is a cute little tasting room too, very enjoyable!
Playlist to tune into over the weekend….
My inspired playlist on Spotify is my go-to for mini road trips to wine country. (username: brunchonchestnut)
Where to eat. (Napa/Yountville)
Farmstead, Bouchon Bakery, The French Laundry (if you can finagle a reservation, I still have yet to make my way but it’s high on my list), and last but not least, Botega. I also have to go to Dean & Deluca each time we’re in the area because I love me a boutique market. Great for sandwich pick-ups before heading to a winery, and without fail every time, I get distracted by their home goods selection and come home with a coffee mug.
Where to Stay
Meadowood is my current favorite!
