An Escape to Carneros Resort & Spa

Carneros Resort & Spa has remained at the top of my favorite places we’ve ever stayed. It has been a long time since my last visit, since before they remodeled and changed their name! Even on gloomy winter days, this place just warms your soul. It’s so charming, cozy, and repletes natural beauty everywhere you look. I always tell people when they reach out for advice, to be sure to stay here for all of your special occasions!

It’s so lovely here, you could honestly stay on property for the majority of the weekend if you wanted as they have several restaurants onsite (Boon Fly Cafe, Farm, and the Hill Dining Room that overlooks the pool and vineyards), a little market as well if you want to pick up some picnic essentials, bocce ball, pool, spa, and even a cute little boutique called Coop. Bicycles are available as well so if you did want to venture out for a tasting, Domaine Carneros is just a 2-minute ride down the road. Matt and I stayed here together for our 1 year anniversary years ago, so we are thinking about booking a few days right after our wedding in June since we are getting married closeby. It’s just the best!

This trip was quick but was so much fun! My friend and I hadn’t seen each other in a while and so we decided to plan an overnight to celebrate her belated birthday and mine a little early. We arrived, enjoyed our room for a bit with champagne and warm olives, and then got ready for dinner at Farm. Their food is always incredible… I highly suggest the seared Ahi Tuna. It was the best I’ve ever had. In the morning we were lucky to see some sunshine (’bout time) and ordered room service, turned on our patio heat lamps and enjoyed some much-needed vitamin D! The heat lamps coupled with the sun eventually made it feel like spring and it was just such a good way to start the day. We left such happy campers and I already can’t wait to visit again in the future.

Some photos from our time last week below! I personally love capturing the little details around the property, because they are all so well thought out and special. x
