There are a handful of staples that reign supreme in my closet. No matter what the season they stick and I wear them over and over, and love how versatile they are with each season’s trends. Every year around this time I start to get antsy for warmer temps, so I’ve been taking that energy and excitement looking on my favorite online shops to collect some ideas of what I’m looking to invest in! So productive. Shopping can be overwhelming when a new season approaches and websites are filled with endless possibilities, so here is what I think about first when planning for spring outfits.
Always start with the basics. They are the building blocks to your wardrobe!
Everyday tees. Find a few that you love to wear on repeat. I always like to have a couple white tops, gray, and a black to make sure I can always reach for something when I’m wanting to go more casual.
Denim. My denim inventory is looking good these days, so I have a lot of fun shopping for on-trend denim around spring time. A few of my favorite styles I look forward to wearing are cropped classic cigarette jeans, distressed boyfriend skinnies, and white jeans aplenty!
Jackets. Crucial in San Francisco! Jackets complete a look and there are so many styles you can choose from. I have selected a few below that I think are perfect for both casual or dressed-up occasions.
Simple Accessories. Find your signature sunnies, a nice leather handbag that you feel great toting around, and dainty jewels. To me, this is all you need to look stylishly put-together.
Shoes. For me, finding a pair of flats I can wear from work to play is the goal. I also start to keep an eye open for great heels to hear to weddings, and then sandals, because duh. I am a sandal hoarder. 🙂
Where do you start when getting ready for a new season?
