Last week I spent the afternoon in Cole Valley, which I’m always reminded how much I love it, every time I make my way over to that side of the city. It’s such a quaint neighborhood, clean, and I feel like the charm might just be one step ahead than in the Marina. The flower boxes that hang outside the big bay windows, facades that replete pastel colors, aligned with trees and twinkle lights, and romantic dining, like Zazie patio – all have me thinking, that I could live over there.
This day reminded me how important it is to break outside the bubble regularly and just explore. Just wandering around a neighborhood where I don’t spend a lot of time evoked so much inspiration. It’s also a great excuse to throw on a few pieces you love to wear and make a day of it.
I teamed up with Zappos again because not only do I love the brands they carry, but as an online shopper – I’m all about companies that give me what I need: quick gratification (two-day shipping!), and seamless returns. Out of any category in my closet, I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to shoes. I love anything tassel-y and fun silhouettes to add to my favorite basics, so it’s nice to be able to try unique styles that I can easily send back if I’m not in love. I ordered these by Lucky and they won me over pretty quickly! I love slide-on mules, but wanted to try something new and thought the wrap around ankle would be super flattering with the cropped denim look.

I love the stacked heel, the super soft leather, the way the ankle-wrap lays to flatter, and how comfortable they are to wear for hours at a time exploring. A new favorite transitional shoe from Indian summer to fall in San Francisco.
