5 Denim Pieces You Need For Spring

22 February

The Cropped Flare //

This style is the undisputed jean shape of the season, and I’m sure you’ve noticed – they’re everywhere! The high-rise waist, the perfectly frayed hem, the precisely faded indigo wash – a combination that screams closet goals. I recommend going in-store to try them on, as they are a particular style with each body type. There’s plenty of style options, so you just need to find a pair that flatters your figure. Madewell has great options!

Soft Chambray //
I have a chambray top that I wear avidly throughout the year and every season. It’s one top that I think has stood the test of time more than any other I’ve owned. My key to success when it comes to finding the perfect top, is making sure that it’s soft and flows nicely. I’ve purchased more structured chambray in the past, and it just isn’t my jam. I promise you, the softer and more relaxed, the more you will wear that thing! (The one I have is on sale here!)

White Cropped Denim //
I’ve pretty much been shouting from the rooftops about my white cropped jeans. I mentioned them in posts recently (here and here) and am telling you; they are an absolute must. You will thank me for getting your hands on these.

Distressed Skinny Boyfriend Jeans //
The borrowed-from-the-boys look is here to stay! Loving the relaxed yet tailored look of boyfriend skinnies, with a touch of distress. Easy to throw on for weekend errands, happy hour with girlfriends paired with a cute sandal or heel, and comfortable. This is another pair that I would try on in store, or order a few sizes in a couple you like to be sure to select the right fit for your body type. Plus, I’ve noticed they always run way bigger.

Denim Boyfriend Jacket //
I love oversized denim jackets and think they are the perfect go-to for spring/summer days. If you go for an oversized look (like I did here), you have to pair it with something a little more form-fitting, or a pair of cut off shorts to make sure that your pieces are balanced. Roll up the sleeves or throw over your shoulder to complete a simple summertime look.
