Happy Friday! How was the first week of January for you? I loved being back on my laptop, but I’m looking forward to resting up this weekend, diving into a book, and maybe trying a new recipe or two. It’s supposed to rain which gives us the chance to relax and catch up on a few things at home. One of our goals this year is to visit the market once a week to stock our fridge for the week ahead and this week was a success.
Healthy recipes and more impromptu fun dinner nights like this one! We recently decided to swap out our dining table for a new one and found this gem from Pier 1 Imports. Our old one had metal accents at the bottom that didn’t look the best with our black chairs and benches, and I felt like I was always bonking my knees. I wanted something simple and chic, so went with black. Loving how are living room was completely transformed. What are your thoughts? Do you like?
When we went to pick it up, I got a bit carried away and brought a few more things home that inspired a Mexican fiesta!
It started with these napkins. How darling are they! I envisioned a combination of whites, neutrals, and then pops of blue (and then pinks and greens with the food!), and I think it might be my favorite tablescape to date. Simple, unique and fun.
I’m currently obsessed with blue and white, traditional, vintage-like dishware. I have been using these bowls for everything, and when they’re not in use they sit on top of our mini buffet table on display. Cannot get enough.
(Also, more to come on this later, but we just installed our new Chandelier! I am in love.)
I decided on old newspaper pages instead of placemats, to add a rustic touch and was quite pleased with how it all came together. Also, these tacos were TDF and the Paloma had me ready to bust out my sandals for spring. 🙂 Cheers to many more dinner parties on this pretty table to come!
