This week I took a day trip to wine country to escape the gloom – always in search of sunshine. Napa’s laidback lifestyle encompasses my summer wardrobe so perfectly – I love slipping into something light and breezy for the day, so went with my new sleeveless cotton jumpsuit from Old Navy. I paired it with espadrilles, a light linen boyfriend blazer, and my bucket bag. Obsessed with this outfit and how comfortable it took me from day to night. I’m a huge advocate of finding a few pieces for summer like this that are versatile (would wear this with a leather jacket and heels out to dinner, with sandals and a jean jacket to a beach picnic, or even just lounging around my apartment).
We went up to explore Benziger Family Winery for their Best of Glen Ellen event and soaked in the fun atmosphere – food vendors, music, wine and had the most delicious prosciutto I’ve ever tasted! We’re talking, it melts in your mouth…(a la Aventine). It was such a lovely way to kick off summer and definitely got me excited about upcoming Napa trips, backyard BBQ’s, and anything and everything outside when warm evenings come around.
One trend I’m loving right now is bold prints. Personally, summer is the one season where I adventure out of the neutrals (sometimes) and solids – and reach for more fun and playful patterns. I was quickly on-board to team up with Old Navy around their summer collection because I love (and want) so many pieces. I gravitate towards anything palm leaf, fringe, or an interesting black and white print, here are a handful of my favorites–
I hope you have a great weekend, friends!
