What better way to kick of entertaining season, than with a refreshing, from-the-garden inspired cocktail?
Matt and I were in the mood to mixology it up this weekend and made the most delicious Paloma, but with a twist! We got new glasses in the mail from one of my favorite glassware companies, fferrone, so it was perfect timing to experiment. When it comes to cocktails, there are a few key flavors I gravitate to; grapefruit (anything citrusy), elderflower, and cucumber. I have been on a Paloma kick lately, so we decided to add a little splash of St. Germain (elderflower liquor). It adds a subtle sweetness and was just so good I had to share. If you like less sweet, just use the St. Germain and skip the simple syrup! Recipe and some of my favorite glasses by fferrone below…
Elderflower Paloma | serving size 4
You will need
4 ounces of tequila
4 ounces of club soda
2 ounces of simple syrup
2 ounces elderflower
How you do it
Combine juice from grapefruit and lime, tequila over a lot of ice and stir everything together really well. Add in simple syrup and elderflower and stir everything again. Add in the club soda and stir once more. Pour over ice and garnish with grapefruit. Cheers!
