Music playing on low (here’s a playlist if you need one), bubbles pouring freely, and endless amounts of delicious indulgences that we aren’t going to turn down. These holiday perks are just a few reasons why this time of year makes me happiest. Although hosting takes a lot of effort and work, it’s always worth it once you can sit down, relax and catch up with loved ones. I am trying to master the skill of keeping things as simple as possible while achieving a thoughtful ambiance. One way to keep things simple is to plan a bubbly and cheese night! Everyone brings either their favorite cheese/cracker or a bottle of their choice. Email coordinating on who is bringing what will be the most work you put in.
I try and find festive tabletop pieces that are a bang for your buck. Having a few statements on the table alongside flowers is all you really need. This is the most spendy time of year, so finding fun items for a bargain is the goal! I made a trip over the Steinmart in the East Bay to pick up some goodies and found some of my new favorites entertaining pieces. They have so much stuff, from clothing to shoes, to kitchen to home decor– even holiday decor if you’re needing to add a few things. I couldn’t resist These amazing glass goblets. They are going to be a go-to all season long, so fun and festive!
I had my first gathering this week with a couple of girlfriends, kicking off the first of many festive evenings. A few photos of how I styled my dining room…
A big thank you to Steinmart for collaborating on this post.
