    Hazelnut Almond Milk Latte

It’s official– I’ve become smug about my barista skills (and shameless with tooting my own horn…). My bank account is proud of me, so thought you may be too– or at least want in on my secret. On Sunday morning, I was mulling over my tasty creation and thought I would share the simple recipe in case, you too, like to start your day with top notch caffeine. Historically, I’ve always preferred a $6 latte at a favorite spot nearby and have wondered for years why it was always better when someone else made it, but finally found matchmade ingredients that morning dreams are made of. I did my research, asked, experimented, and created a café worthy coffee!

I have a Nespresso machine, but any espresso will work! Just make sure that it’s a light roast and a well-balanced blend. “Biscuity notes” is the description on my Voltesso capsules, so I went for it and approve. As for almond milk, Matt and I have been buying the Califia unsweetened almond milk forever, so I tried just that initially, but it needed a sweet touch. I picked up the hazelnut at the store (obsessed with hazelnut) and it’s amazing. I make 2 espresso shots, and pour over the steamed milk (half a cup of regular almond milk + half cup hazelnut creamer) and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top. SO good.

    I hope you enjoy!

    • Emily

Love my Nespresso too!! Have you had any luck with frothing almond milk in your Aeroccino? I’ve tried several almond milks with no luck.

      • Hi Emily! Yes, I have it too, it’s what I’ve been using! What happens when you try? I realized at a certain point (multiple overflows) that there’s a max line. I pour half way to the line with the creamer (which is thicker and I think helps a bit) and then the other half with regular almond milk. Sometimes I will even press it on and let it work for 30 seconds, pause it, and then turn it on again. It’s a testy little guy! Hope this helps… try this recipe and let me know what you think… just made one and sipping it as we speak 🙂 x

    • That couldn’t sound any better!

      • It makes morning so much better! Hope you have a great week lady! x

    • Definitely making this soon. I want to become a latte making pro !!
