Summer, can you please slow down just a little bit? It’s slipping away too quickly! The trip I mentioned recently is coming up next week and I can’t believe it. I still have a bit of travel planning to do and figuring out what to pack. Heading to London for my first time and I’m so excited. Going on my first big international work trip and still having such a big pinch-me moment! Maybe the coolest thing that has ever happened to me with BoC ever… stay tuned. We will be staying in Regent’s Park area for the most part and then want to explore Notting Hill as well. Recommendations of your favorites always welcome!
This week I’m working on posts that are going up over the next few days and drafting a few for next week while we’re gone. Getting things organized around my apartment. Still lots of venue talk around here, which btw–we have decided is harder than SF apartment hunting. Totally fell in love with a venue this past weekend, but we found out our date may have been taken by another couple, and logistically it’s just becoming a bit tough. I just want a charming elevated backyard-feel wedding with lots of greenery, amazing food, twinkle lights, and for it to be extra cozy and intimate. Is that so much to ask!
I will keep you guys posted since you’ve been so sweet/helpful throughout this part of the process! Fingers crossed we can start focusing on the more fun details very soon.
I gushed on about this London-based loungewear line in a post this week, but for good reason! They have inspired me to revamp my lounge collection. Lots of cute things here too I’ve started to browse and bookmark. Also, since it’s in the shot above…still loving my Isabel Marant bracelet… she makes such beautiful pieces. I never take it off.
Another Ganni dress I had to have. I picked this up when we were in Seattle and have been wearing it non-stop since. It’s actually a very similar print to the navy one I have, but with short sleeves and a bit different detailing. I just love them… have you ordered any pieces by Ganni yet? They have a ton of new stuff out for fall.
While we were up in wine country this weekend, we visited a private property called Front Porch Farm, which is a working farm full of animals, flowers, fruits, veggies. You may recognize the name because they also produce wine (cutest branding on their wine bottles) and they sell their flowers to local farmer’s markets, as well as places like The Healdsburg Shed!
Kind of an unreal property to walk around and explore. I couldn’t help but imagine walking around in the shoes of the owner of the farm– petting the lambs, soaking up country life, picking flowers… all probably with a glass of my own wine in hand. Oh, country life!
We tasted strawberries and blackberries right from the vines and were blown away at all the flowers covering the property. It was so beautiful. I found out this property opens to the public once a month where you can walk the property and pick fruits and flowers! More detail here if you’re interested– the next one is Dahlia’s on September 8th!
One major note for those who choose mascara as their weapon of choice (same)… NARS just launched a new mascara called Climax and it is amazing. The brush is perfect, super full– and gives my lashes the ultimate boost/length. Side note, their product names kill me (haha).
I just started using Clé de Peau Bronzer (in tan) and it’s such a gem find. I also got a couple shades of their lipstick and they are so silky and actually stay on. My favorite colors are 103 Legend and 105 Flower Power. Love this brand…
You may have seen me post this beautiful navy leather bucket bag on stories, and the brand so kindly reached out and are offering 10% off their website with the code VASICXASHLEY. This is my second bag by them, they are so fun and unique and the quality has always been so good. I discovered them last year on Shopbop, and have been such a big fan ever since. This is my new favorite for fall.
That’s it for now! Hope your week is treating you well…
