Rainy days are made instantly better by DIY cocktails at home. On Saturday as we hung up a few things around our apartment, Matt whipped out ingredients and made me the best marg that’s ever hit my lips. The guy’s got mad cocktail skills! I had to note this recipe, so easy and delicious. It’s the perfect combination of subtly sweet and tart– refreshingly and quenchingly tasty, especially this time of year. It made me crave humid-hot days by the beach, salty skin, and no plans/shoes all day. It’s looking like spring may be finally arriving, clearly craving some warm sunshine and in-kind activities. so cheers to many more margarita filled afternoons ahead!
Matt’s recipe below, enjoy! Serving size is for 2 glasses…
Squeeze juice from 3 limes and 2 lemons into pitcher with lots of ice. Cut 2 thin slices of lime, lemon, and grapefruit and put in the pitcher as well to contribute to the flavor.
What you’ll need
2 parts triple sec
4 parts tequila of your choice (we used Código Rosa, new fave)
2 parts simple syrup (can be made by boiling one cup of water and 3/4 cup of sugar)
*Stir frequently and stir after adding each part above as you really want to get it blended evenly and cold
