I’ve always clapped for closet staples that make a simple outfit sing (bonus points if it is something I can cocoon myself with). I realized while putting this post together that this outfit is me to a tee.  My kind of fall and winter uniform. I started to think about what makes an outfit a personal uniform? When you put something together and just instantly feel your best. Fresh and confident. I think there are a few elements to everyone’s unique thought process of their own uniform, but for me, it’s fit, comfort, versatility, and quality.

I’m at a point in my life (as I am sure you can tell if you follow along and visit regularly) where quality is my priority, really with everything. My style is always evolving, but I’ve learned that investing in a little bit more means more love/wears. More uniform staples. I like a Mango or Zara purchase here and there, as we do, but my uniform entails those quality things that I never tire of…

I have always been a fan of Velvet by Graham & Spencer, I feel like they are always offering up all the joys of cozy coats this time of year, and their jeans… my goodness their jeans. It had been a while since I picked up a pair and I recently got these and they rekindled my love of their denim. I have been wearing them all week and they fit me like a glove and keep their shape, which is such a win-win.
