Places to Go: Petit Crenn, San Francisco

13 September

Since moving to San Francisco in 2009, I’ve watched Hayes Valley evolve into a little neighborhood full of such charm, delicious food, and some great shopping. It’s in my top 5 favorite ‘hoods to escape on a sunny day and just explore, window shop and finish the day with some ice cream. A perfect weekend plan.

I finally made my way over to Petit Crenn last week, a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try since it opened last year, and it quickly became a spot I will be frequenting for brunch dates with Matt (order the caramelized onion omelette, it was the best I’ve ever had!) and wine nights with my girlfriends. The interior is bright and airy, very Instagram-able!

Some more noteworthy spots while you’re in Hayes:

Chez Mama | french basics that are as delicious and hearty and are maybe just as good as your mom’s cooking!
Absinthe Brasserie | South of France-style brasserie… the french fries are a must.
Suppenkuche | authentic German fare like pretzels & schnitzels plus imported beers served in a glass boot!
Zuni Cafe | great atmosphere and food, known for their chicken!
Loving Cup | the best. If you need help ordering… vanilla with Nutella and granola!
Chantal Guillon | Parisian macarons. Need I say more…
Acrimony | danger zone for your wallet! Amazing clothes.
Lavish | cute gift boutique. I love coming here for cards, planners, and tabletop decor items
