Simple Pleasures | No.02

I think you know by now I am a vino aficionado, so I dedicate this simple pleasures post to little ways in which it elevates my weekly routine. Matt and I just had lunch on Polk Street, and I saw a wine shop I used to go to all the time when I lived closer to Russian Hill. I used to buy this bottle ALL the time – and what led me to it was it’s beautiful branding. Not a shock, huh? I use to sip this with girlfriends on a weekly basis, so I was thrilled to bring home a bottle and relive those memories. The cashier suggested I buy a bottle of rosé as well, so I did – not a hard sell here, haha. I always reach for the lighter shade rosé… I like it a little crisper and refreshing. The lighter, the better. Starting strong with reason No.01 why wine is the best – it brings back memories, and it helps create new ones. // Red Blend: Alvaro Palacios Camins del Priorat 2014 and Rosé: Farmstrong Field Rosé // both $20!

Wine brings people together. It’s unbelievably enjoyable to catch up with friends and relish in the vibes of treating oneself while sipping on something delicious. There’s not much better than rosé on a warm spring day with great views and company. Plus ordering fondue to pair with it is a plus as well. // If you’re a local in SF – Union Larder is so much fun for a glass after work or on a weekend before dinner!

Visiting a new winery and learning about how they make their wine, touring the property, and hearing about how it all began is inspiring. Sitting outside at a picnic table and doing a tasting is one of my absolute favorite things to do on warm weekends. No matter where you are, who you’re with, or what you’re doing… adding a glass of wine in the mix is the best.

    I hope you’re enjoying your Thursday – cheers! x
