Style Notes: Straw Accessories

  /
15 February

First of all, Happy Valentine’s Day to all! I soaked up the morning with my two favorite doods, a giant cup of coffee, and am in quite the perky mood thanks to the pretty light filling each room of our apartment. My heart is full today, and can’t wait to spend the evening with Matty and a nice bottle of wine. No matter what you do tonight– smile, take a sip of vino and know you are loved.

Now, back to the outfit. Completely eating up all the delicious sun lately over here, and obviously busting out my favorite straw. I have been living in this hat and my mind is already wondering which JL piece is up next. I’m thinking I cannot live without one of her panamas. I wore this shoedenim combo recently in this post (well, in general, they’ve both been on repeat), and seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about them! These jeans are the perfect vintage-esk pair because they are very thin and soft, and actually flatter– and the shoes are amazingly versatile and go with so much. AND, they are straw.

I also was so happy to wear this Indego Africa tote again (I love it so much, I just ordered this one as well), it’s been tucked away all winter. Obsessed with the roomy size, soft woven straw, and the square handle…out of any bag I’ve carried, it receives the most compliments.

This top… oh my goodness. One lucky $20 buy a couple summers ago! I literally live in it every season. It’s from Gap and is the perfect tank silhouette. I will wear it again soon to show you the details a bit better, but it’s high square neck with skinny straps, and the back drops down a little lower (right above my bra strap), and it’s a linen/cotton fabric. I was so excited to see that St. Agni has a very similar one (a little more pricey), but I must get my hands on one of these!

And last, but not least– the long ribbed sweater (also mentioned here and majorly on sale!) is an ideal spring layering piece. It’s pretty thin, so you can’t pull off anything beyond a t-shirt under, so it’s great for tanks. This is my kind of outfit. Easy and effortless.

Spring, we’re ready for you…

Hi! What size do you have in the sweater? Does it run small or large? Usually I am a small but things are tight in the arms. Love the post !

Hi Rebecca! I have a size small. The fabric is a thin cotton, so I think you should go with your normal size… it’s definitely stretchy!

Super cute look! Love your slip-ons 🙂

yessssssssssss. I’ve definitely started my own collection of straw bags. Somehow I can’t get enough because each one is totally different in its own way 🙂

That’s a great way to look at it! I have like 8 now and this makes me feel like a couple more won’t hurt. 🙂

Hey there!! What size are your jeans? Can’t decide between 26 or 27. Thank you!!

Hi Kristina,

I’m happy you asked, they actually run big so I went a size down. I’m usually a 26 but went with the 25!

Oh wow, glad I asked too. I will do the same, thank you!

Hi! Love your blog and instagram! I want to order the cardigan, but will the UK site allow US shipping? I can’t find a way to select US shipping and I don’t see where it’s at on the US site. Hope you can help because I really want to order…

Hi! Thank you so much – I actually got mine from Jigsaw US, and linked the only one I found left… I didn’t realize it was UK! It looks like it’s out of stock in the US… http://www.jigsaw-london.com/long-rib-cardigan // I’m so sorry about that!

love the shop you posted for the bag you just got! Such amazing stuff!

Ah, isn’t it amazing? I absolutely, absolutely adore Indego Africa so much.
