    B.R. Cohn + Benziger Winery

Wine country is my Disneyland. Flourishing acres of green, sun-kissed trees, and birds chirping while sipping on some of nature’s best is what I’d rather be doing on the weekends. It’s pure relaxation, bliss, and if you’re lucky – you meet some new favorite bottles to bring home. We headed up to Sonoma this weekend to celebrate our friend’s wedding, which was executed beautifully, by the way (also, if you happen to follow me on snapchat – sorry / you’re welcome. 🙂 Depending on how much you like tipsy filter spam). Clearly, the life of the party, or so we thought.

We rented a house with friends and snuck in a few tastings when we could around the main event. Saturday we visited BR Cohn (my second time there), which is always a treat. Gorgeous property, mighty fine wine, complimentary olive oil tasting, and a sweeping view of the vineyard. Sunday on our way back to San Francisco we decided to stop by Benziger, since it’s been a new favorite of mine and loved our time spent tasting and sitting in the 75º sun. I’m having a hard time snapping back into my Monday, so thought I would share a few captures (and because the new camera is treating me well!). How was your weekend? xx

I saw that you have an SF guide. Do you have one for wine country? I’m headed to Sonoma in a month.

Hi Dani! I just added “wine country” on to the dropdown on my travel section. 🙂 Where are you staying in Sonoma? Happy to send you along a list of my favorites!

    Dani

We are staying at MacArthur Place. Would love any recommendations (restaurants/vineyards)! We’ll have a car (and a DD). Love your blog, by the way. It’s my new favorite daily read!

Aw, thank you so much! That made my day! 🙂

Here are my recommendations in that area. You’re staying really close to Sonoma Square, which has adorable shops and delicious restaurants. El Dorado Kitchen (a must), Harvest Moon Cafe, The Girl and the Fig. We stumbles upon Pangloss Cellars (I snapped a few photos last weekend on Instagram) which was lovely. Perfect for a pre dinner glass of wine, or you can go in an taste on afternoon. The wines are great and super affordable, we left with 3 bottles!

You are also close to BR Cohn and Ram’s Gate – 2 awesome wineries.

Let me know if you plan on going more north at all because I have a few favorites about 35/40 min from that area. Enjoy!!
