    Weekend at Carneros Inn

This weekend was something out of a dream. I’ve always wanted to stay at Carneros Inn, and we finally got to experience it. It was nothing short of what I imagined- stunning, refreshing, and luxurious. I cannot stress enough- you must stay here! Matt and I agree that it was the most beautiful, relaxing, and wonderful place we’ve ever stayed, and cannot wait until the next time we can come back. Sigh, I’m having fomo just looking at my own photos (haha).

Our weekend wouldn’t have been the same without the help of Katie, so I have to give a personal shot out to her! Katie is a travel agent who I was introduced to by a friend, and who helped map out our itinerary for the weekend to make sure our anniversary was perfect. She really blew me away with how detail oriented she is, thinking about moments from down time, to making sure the restaurants, wineries, etc. aligned with our expectations. She’s truly the best.

We arrived to the hotel later in the evening on Friday, and after a very long day (Matt flying in from a work trip in Switzerland, and me flying in from a quick overnight work trip to LA) our room made the traveling, driving, and anticipation to get to Napa all worth it. We switched on the fire, uncorked champagne, and toasted to the rest of the weekend that we knew would only go up from here. We woke up happy, swooned over our outside soaking tub and fire pit (I’m going to need a backyard immediately now after having this for a couple days) and relaxed in our room (we seriously could have spent the majority of our time admiring the warm and cozy vibes of our cottage) and headed up to the Carneros Dining Room for brunch.

Carneros is practically a little town of its own! It has gorgeous rooms, a dining hall, a restaurant, a spa, a boutique, a market, and a winery down the road, soooo…. what more does one need? Not much if you ask me. The food was impeccable (we went for brunch on Saturday and lunch on Sunday before we checked out), and the view overlooks the pool, which is the best view in the house. After brunch on Saturday we drove over to Duckhorn for our first tasting of the day, followed by Cade. I will be sharing a little peek into both wineries early next week, so stay tuned!

After our tastings, and a few wine bottles added to our collection, we headed back to Carneros to relax before our late dinner. We spent some time outside by the fire pit, sipping wine and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. It was just so romantic and wonderful, I want to go back. now. 🙂 We had dinner at FARM, their onsite restaurant, to celebrate our anniversary in style. It was delicious and the ambiance is great. I had heard amazing things from friends who had been… it definitely lived up to it’s reviews. We loved it!

Sunday was all about relaxing before having to leave this little piece of paradise. We ordered room service from Boon Fly Cafe (also on their property), had coffee in bed, and headed to our massages later that morning. We had lunch afterwards, watched a little football with the fire on in our room, and sat outside at the dining room for lunch before we packed up to leave. Ultimate relaxation, I tell ya! Food, wine, cuddles, fire pit, soaking tub, repeat. I would move in if I could. Have you ever been? What has been your favorite hotel experience to date? It’s going to be tough to beat my expectations now! I told Matt this is our new anniversary tradition. I think it’s a good idea, don’t you? 🙂 xx

This looks like the dreamiest, most relaxing trip! I’ve heard wonderful things about Carneros Inn, and after seeing the photos of your lovely weekend I am officially adding it to my hotel bucket-list! I live nearby in Sonoma County so it would be the perfect place for a stay-cation 🙂

My girlfriends from college and I are all getting together for a weekend in Napa in March (and as of now we have no particular wineries picked out), so I am very excited to hear about the wineries you went to and your experiences there!

So glad you got some much-needed relaxation with your love (isn’t that what anniversaries should always be about!?). And as always, love the blog!

Hi lady! I must have missed this! Thanks for the note, and I hope you enjoyed your time in Napa!! It’s so amazing there, I’m actually heading back next weekend, I can’t wait. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! xx
