I think out of all seven years living in San Francisco, this winter may end up being the coldest. I don’t remember it being so crisp! Like bone-rattling chilly. I’m a total wimp when it comes to being cold, I admit it, but seriously…our apartment has felt like the arctic. Thank god for our new space heater (PG&E bill is going to be a fun one), and twinkle lights creating such a cozy and warm atmosphere to keep my spirits bright through winter hibernation.
As a true city girl, I believe that life is just grander when you’re wrapped in a thick knit or cashmere sweater. This mantra works well for me this time of year (scratch that–we have 60º on average, it’s a perk all year!) because they happen to take up 80% of my closet. Loft recently reached out to see if I would be interested in teaming up with them to share why I love winter sweaters and cozy, festive moments at home for the holidays. Say no more! I was in without much thought.
I have to say, I am so wowed by Loft. I spent a good 30 minutes browsing their sweaters and fell in love with SO many of them. This is one of the amazing things about my job. I’m able to collaborate with brands who are creating beautiful things, learn more about them and in this case, become such a big fan of their style and selection. Plus, it’s reasonably priced (and everything right now is 50% off). The sweaters I picked up look so much more rich and expensive than they are. After rounding up favorites below, I think I need to add this fringe one to my cart. How did I miss this the first time!?
Hands down, my favorite thing about this time of year is getting to spend quality time with good friends and family. I’ve put on my hostess hat several times this month! To me, catching up in a cozy home is an ideal evening. I love sharing a delicious meal over candlelight, holiday decor, and a nice bottle of wine. All kinds of warm and fuzzies.
Speaking of warm and fuzzies….
Trying out new cocktail recipes is always so fun, too. We tried out these hot toddies recently and loved them on a cold afternoon by the tree. Cozy a la this Navy Sweater I have been living in. What are your favorite things to do during the holidays?
